At Headley Park, we aim to build children's character. We provide opportunities for our children to be pupil leaders so that there are: 

• Forums to voice their concerns and act upon them;
• Opportunities to take an active role in the organisation of the school; and
• Opportunities to experience a democratic process.

Examples of leadership opportunities include House Captains, Eco-Leads and Play Leaders. 

Our leadership opportunities should encourage pupils to develop:

• A sense of ownership over policy and practice
• A consensus over school issues such as behaviour
• A responsibility towards the school community and environment
